5 #AI powered Apps to make meetings more effective.

Developments in Natural Language Processing are providing us with powerful new tools to automate, streamline and augment time-consuming meeting tasks.

For those of us who are not super-fast typers dictation and transcription tools are a huge time-saver, accelerating the cadence of collaboration.

These are five tools I’ve been checking out recently. My favourite is at the end…

X.AI is a super simple and easy to use appointment scheduling assistant - I’ve used this app for some time. It’s got better with age and new integrations make the paid plan more appealing. More than scheduling ADAM is a complete solution to help teams manage meetings, collect notes and track actions.

Meetings often get side tracked with ideas (that should be assigned to the ‘Parking lot’) and conversations that distract attention from the real objectives. Tools like ADAM will help teams focus and hold each other accountable. This team transparency is essential for successful projects.

HENDRIX

HENDRIX is the simplest and most efficient way for professionals to automatically transcribe, summarize, organize, and recall their meeting notes, action items, and data.

HENDRIX combines transcription with voice control to interact with your notes, set tasks which adds a powerful layer of functionality. However I can’t help but think how this would work in a busy team meeting with someone constantly using the voice assistent to capture what they previously would have writen down quietly, without interrupting the flow of the meeting.

The ability to record and search meeting notes is so important. All too often we don’t hear or remember everything said, so transcription is the perfect solution, so you never miss a beat.

OTTER is by far my favourite tool. I collaborate with 3 different teams using OTTER, sharing notes, sending recorded voice messages that are instantly transcribed to text.

I use OTTER to record meetings, collect ideas, draft blog posts or take notes when I’m listening to a podcast or reading a book.
